Alright. Cool. Armament spheres create physical objects, Com spheres are op as hell. Got it. Also, Roland seems to be pretty adept at ‘porting him self. Dude should just go full Corvo and grab himself a knife and go a kingslaying. Does Emperor Sexy have back up plans, or is he just magic Batman and is prepared for every eventuality? Also just a side question: Ever read any Marvel comics? There’s a guy in the Marvel universe called Nathan “Cable” Summers. Among his powers include: telekinesis, psychic barriers, teleportation (called by the coolest possible name: “Body Slide”), energy projection, and a slew of other garbage. His stories are rarely about him losing a fight, but having arrived after the fight was already lost, because due to the mentioned abilities, he can’t really be taken down. His biggest threat in all of his comics has been (no joke) himself. Be really careful. Three “powers” that are really hard to make interesting are Teleportation, Telepathy, and Resurrection. Once you introduce any of these they quickly reduce narrative stakes. “Trapped in a dungeon?” *pop* Body Slide by 1. “Can’t figure out the bad guy’s real motives?” Scry 3, draw a card.” Main character dies?” Pheonix down. (Also: yeah, I’m that guy who thinks that the Aerith thing in FFVII is so beyond dumb in a world where a company can mass produce a literal True Resurrection CL9 in a bottle. I had 48 on me, why the billy-blue-bollocks can I not just shove one in her gaping chest wound?) Anyway, just be careful.
Regardless of what Inaquian thinks, I think your comic is headed down a good path! It’s so cool that you don’t plan that much of it and just draw. That’s always my mindset for comics too, and sometimes it really gets me down when I make mistakes, but it’s like solving a puzzle when you try to clean up after yourself. Anyway, I’m just rambling, but your storytelling is really good!!
Thanks Alichee! Despite having done this for a while I still feel pretty new at it haha. I try to think about each chapter as storytelling practice and not get too discouraged when I make mistakes. Just gotta keep doing it! 🙂
What you talking about Willis, I love this strip. I think this is awesome, and I love all the ideas that are being presented. Her story is unique and interesting, it’s just being presented in an inexperienced way. Which is fine, every story teller starts that way, I’m just offering criticism and advice. She can tell me to go fuck myself if she wants, it’s her story. The fact that she doesn’t and takes criticism and the like in stride says a lot about her! And since she started she’s improved a ton! Her line work is leaps and bounds better, her panel structure is growing stronger and her narrative focus has made improvements most people go to school for. Make no mistake, if it were not for another comic, she would be my favorite by far. What Jojo is doing in this comic is more interesting than most things out there. I’m just some idiot putting my two cents out there.

Also time travel. Time travel is a narrative deadspace.
Thanks for the thoughts, I’ll definitely consider them!
