Ok, this is adorable. If you’re experimenting with panels, something like a shatter would work really well coming up. I fell like I have more to say, but it’s been a long day and I’m tired and my meds are wearing off. If I remember, I’ll post it. I check your comic every other day or so even though you only update on Tuesdays I still feel like there’s something more to be gained, said, or thought about.
The herald must have somehow killed Marina. My support is that Koral said “I’m sorry, Tortu. It’s just that whenever you talk about your test, I relive the day she died.” ‘She’ is probably Marina and if the herald “took something dear’ from Tortu, and Tortu asked Marina out and married her and Marina died, the “something dear” is probably Marina and the hippocampus caused her death. I don’t think that the hippocampus will last very long once Tortu finds it.
Oh! OK revised theory, I think that Marina died and either Tortu lost his wedding ring or something else she gave him and the Hippocampus thought it was pretty and stole it from him when he was diving. Other than this I think everything makes a lot of sense.
