Hey, Joy, how did you make your website? I’ve been looking for an easy way to do it, and I know I could do it all with code, but I’m 12, and sort of really bad at programming. However, I am working on getting better at drawing and I really want to make a web comic like yours! I really like your comic!
Thanks so much, Firefox! The way I did it was to use WordPress with the Comicpress theme. I host my own website, but you can easily set up a WordPress site at https://wordpress.com/. Once you do that, you can probably google around for more detailed instructions on how to install the theme if you need them.
The nice thing about WordPress themes is that you can edit them to create a custom look, so you could use this as a chance to flex your programming muscles as well. 🙂 Otherwise, the default template isn’t too bad, either.
Some other ways of displaying webcomics:
– You can create a Tumblr and use the Simple Webcomic theme (https://www.tumblr.com/theme/39018). I actually haven’t tried this myself, but it seems like it might be easier than setting up a WordPress site.
– The most simple option (but a little less customizable, but customizable nonetheless) is to use a webcomic hosting service — this blog post (http://cat-nine.net/top-4-best-free-webcomic-hosting-sites/) lists a couple of popular ones. I haven’t tried this either, but you could click around on some of the existing comics there to see how they set up their own websites.
Indeed not, little fisherman. He is Lord and Master of all that he surveys, as are all cats.
