Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure
April 4th, 2017In the last few years, as I started tabling at anime convention artist alleys under the name “jojostory”, I found out that people thought my artist name was a reference to Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and kept dropping references to it and being disappointed when I just laughed in confusion.
So I decided to watch it, and caught up with the anime the other day! The villains are extremely gross and creepy but the protagonists are all amazing cool people with hearts of gold, which is DEFINITELY MY THING. In the end, it makes you very much hate the villains (oh my god, Kira) and makes the good guys’ victories extremely satisfying.
(ALSO A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF MEMES IS OPEN TO ME. HOW DID I NOT NOTICE BEFORE.)
Yeah, you’re right, they are good people. Like that one time, in order to figure out a stands weakness they kicked sand into a little kids face. Total gentlemen. Or when Joseph peeped on his mom bathing? That was neat. I thought it was especially noble when Kakyoin fed a baby its own feces. And when Jotaro stole that kids ice-cream? Solid good guy move. Lol. I think Jojo’s is fine, but I’m fairly sure every character in that show (besides Johnathan) is some flavor of dick-bag.
Well, when you put it that way… 😛
Also: Fish bro in Breath of the Wild is a total Jojo’s character.
Nice guys don’t fight for justice, they ask politely for it! Haha, I haven’t watched the show, but I’d say being a jerk doesn’t preclude having a heart of gold… and being nice and well-behaved doesn’t preclude being incredibly evil, either.
